ANCERVILLE : JC CINEL until the end of the night.

11th of May 2013, a date written down for a long time on my diary. Indeed I make this travel for 5 years,
and we have to admit that the concerts of JUDGE PARKER, TRUCKERS and DIESEL DUST will stay in our memories. So what would the year 2013 offer to us ?

Arrived around 16 h, I run right away into our italian friends from JC CINEL, and all the crew of FESTIROCK hurry up with the last arrangements. Well, The only missing is just J the singer of the band himself : car problem ?
GPS problem ? Alright then, a little beer, a little snack food and we already are at the first gig of the evening, performed by a local guy : Fred Chapellier is ''at home'', and is going to give us more than an hour of his blues inspired, amongst others, by Roy Buchanan's one. The guitarist of Jacques Dutronc knows how to remain us that
he is also a very good singer and he got the evening rolling on very good musical basis.

Alright, I have to confess it, I made 650 km (a little more than 400 miles) to meet (at last !) my friend JC Cinel. Would the former Jimi Barbiani's singer confirm the great appearence at the Spirit 66 from Verviers, at the end of 2011 ? For us, the interest is of course that JC also likes our dear Allman Bros, as we 'll become aware on
« Sweet and Wild » with its slide heated to white, that follows the tune chosen to open the gig, the famous boogie « Nashville Nights ». We also were treated to « Living on the Highway », extracted from his last record, more in the Joe Walsh tradition. JC CINEL shows himself to be a singer as we like them, knowing how to lead a band like a leader has to do it. Some well-chosen covers like « Gimme Three Steps » (Skynyrd) or « Ohio » (Neil Young) later, JC CINEL Band swept everything away in its path. The band put on the show and the kindness of its members really won the support of everyone.

Dirty York wraped up the evening with its Australian classic rock with a special mention to the nearly two meters (6,5 feet) guitarist who puts on the show like rarely seen. The band's cohesion allowed us to end on a high note
a 2013 edition that will also stay in our memories.
Thanks to everyone in the Festirock team.
